What’s so good about Microsoft Paint? Let’s start with the good news. The Windows Paint interface is cleaner and more modern. It is more in fitting with smoother elements you’ll be used to if you’re using Windows 8 or Windows 10. Paint, you’ll be glad to hear, is still the same old simple program it was when you first discovered it as a child. You have a few more options for brushes and shapes but there is nothing too overwhelming.

Once you get used to the updated interface you’ll feel right at home. Think back to all of the classic shortcuts, like CTRL and + to increase line size, and they’ll all still be there. And now the bad The inconveniences are small but they all add up. For example, anti-aliasing is now automatic. This is fine for casual users but veterans or graphic artists will feel limited by the automatic softening. Disabling it should at least be an option.
Another bone of contention is that Paint automatically selects any like or object after it has been drawn. This is nothing too serious or dramatic but again the little things add up. All about nostalgia Let’s be honest. Whenever we’ve opened MS Paint it hasn’t been because we’ve needed the most advanced or complete drawing program. We opened it because we were bored and because there was nothing better but that out of that boredom grew love. It is the same now, You don’t want to download Windows Paint because you need to complete an elaborate graphic design job.
You want to download it because you miss it and because you feel nostalgic. Like when you want to check in on someone you haven’t seen for a long time just to hear their voice again before getting back to the present. Open Microsoft Paint again and let that warm feeling of nostalgia wash over you. MS Paint is a very simple but useful tool to create basic photo editing like cropping, resizing, converting or even putting text in an image. It is a great alternative to Photoscape, Adobe Photoshop, and a lot more complicated photo editing software which can take a couple of minutes or hours to just crop, resize, convert or put text in a photo.
